The Trialtech Sport ISIS cranks feature a strong and dependable forged 6061 construction. By using a forged manufacturing process the mechanical properties of the material are enhanced and result in a crank with an excellent strength to weight ratio. The hollowed out back section removes material where it is least efficient, helping to keep the weight down (from 488g for a 160mm pair) while allowing material to be used in more beneficial areas of the crank. The cranks also offer excellent frame/brake clearance (particularly beneficial for very compact frame designs).

Designed to be used with a front freewheel or threaded sprocket, the Sport ISIS have International Standard freewheel threads, and offer enough thread to make them compatible with almost any freewheel/sprocket and bashring combination. By using the ISIS bottom bracket fitting, the Sport ISIS cranks are not only lighter than traditional square taper cranks but also result in a stiffer and stronger over all drivetrain system.

The cranks are available in 160, 165, 170 and 175mm lengths, finished in a tough matt black anodising and featuring a stylish Trialtech laser etched logo. Matt silver cranks are also available in 175mm only.

Custom designed, high quality ISIS bottom bracket has been tested and developed over a period of more than a year to ensure maximum reliability by riders like Ali C. Minimalist aluminium alloy cups and centre sleeve help reduce weight. Unique, high load bearing units for increased strength and durability. Multiple seals keep out the elements. Custom machined, lightweight M15 cromoly steel axle keeps weight down without sacrificing strength. ‘Top Hat’ axle spacers maintain correct bearing preload and crank fitment, plus they can be removed easily to ensure that all types of 20-tooth Shimano BB tool can be used with this BB. 68mm shell width with 128mm long axle.

These forged aluminium cranks are a threaded front freewheel design suitable for use with either a freewheel like our Tensile 96 click or a threaded sprocket like a Trialtech 18t.
