As you might know the 2010 National Championships came down to the wire in the Pro 26″ category with Andrew Dickey and Joe Brewer forced into a ride off. Both riders finished the competition on 3 dabs after Dickey picked up a late dab following a flat tyre. Check out our little video of the ride off:
We have just arrived back home after the 2010 Nationals in Adelaide. Event organiser Stuart Colla put on a great trial in conjunction with MTBA. The riding was very close and exciting, particularly in Pro 26″ where Joe Brewer and Andrew Dickey tied on 3 dabs at the end of competition. As a count back was not possible the two riders battled it out in a one section ride off with Joe Brewer winning on 3 dabs to be crowned 2010 26″ Australian Champion. Joe also won the 20″ Australian Championship title over Morgan Driessens and Jack Mullaly. As World number 8 and dual Australian Champion there is no disputing Joe’s place at the top of the sport. We will have a full video of Joe and Andy’s ride off online shortly.
The Elite field was also a tightly contested event. Borys Zagrocki took out the podium followed by Kleat Wilson and Janine “J9″ Jungfels. Janine was also crowned MTBA Elite Women’s Champion, the first year she has recieved official recognition for her place as the best female rider Australia has ever produced.
The whole team from ExpressiveBikes would like to thank Stu Colla, MTBA, the event volunteers who helped with timing and all the observes for making the event a success.
Above: Janine “J9″ Jungfels gaping stump to rock as event organiser Stu Colla observes. Janine was riding on Morgan’s Onza Limey 320 due to technical issues with her bike prior to the event.
Just arrived this morning are the new Inspired Fourplay Forks.
Inspired FourPlay Forks. Disc Brake only. $259 with free shipping in Australia.
Designed to suit the Inspired Fourplay frame and aggressive style riding these forks are probably the most tested and thought out trials fork ever produced. While these forks were designed with Danny Mac for 24″ riding the disc brake model is also perfectly suited to many 26″ frames. A great choice for any rider looking for a durable front end.
