On the weekend of July 19 and 20 two rounds of the National Trials Series will be held on Mt Tamborine. The first event is at the Eagle Heights Hotel on the Saturday followed by Thunderbird Park on the Sunday. You can download the flyer below. Make sure you spread the word.

I have edited together some footage from the Weekend Warrior trials comp on May 11. You can check it out on youtube now.
Way back in January Patricio and Jack traveled to Canberra for the 2008 MTBA championships. Since then I have had a bunch of footage sitting on my computer which I haven’t got around to editing. Finally though I’ve had some spare time and have posted a video on youtube. Better late then never I guess.

Wow! Another comp in the bag. On Sunday May 11 the Queensland riders held round 2 of their state series at Thunderbird Park at Mt Tamborine. We will have some more photos soon but first here are the results and a video from Owen Gwilliam.

Did some more work on the course for the Weekend Warrior today. Still not quite finished as I only had a couple of hours. Took a couple of snaps on my mobile though to give everyone a bit more of a taste of the sections.
This section uses man made obstacles to traverse a creek. Includes a rail gap, skinny ride, side hop and a big up out of the creek that can be approached in a couple of different ways.
Today Dave and myself went out and started setting sections for the May 11 comp at Benoble (just out of Canungra).
We have completed 2 natural creek sections and 1 log section. We have recorded a little walk through of the log section to give you a taste of what to expect. Check it out on YouTube.

One of the biggest events on the Queensland Mountain Bike calendar is the Merida 24 hour cross country race. Run by Two Wheel Promotions this event attracts a broad spectrum of the cycling community for a weekend of fun, camping and a whole lot of racing.
ExpressiveBike’s own Jack Mullaly was out at the event cheering on friends and family and was quickly roped in to do an impromptu demo on his Monty Kamel for the crowd.
